A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder is the knock-‘em-dead, uproarious hit and the most nominated show of the 2014 season. When the low-born Monty Navarro finds out that he’s eighth in line for an earldom in the lofty D’Ysquith family, he figures his chances of outliving his predecessors are slight and sets off down a far more ghoulish path. But can he knock off his unsuspecting relatives without being caught and become the ninth Earl of Highhurst? And what of love? Because murder isn’t the only thing on Monty’s mind…

All roles are open and available to anyone regardless of race, ethnicity, or gender. Age or appearance of age is only a factor as it applies to relationships in the play. An English dialect is required for the production, and auditioners should be able to demonstrate the dialect or their ability to learn one. Those auditioning and production team members must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Masks are recommended but not required at the Westchester Playhouse.

To audition, please prepare 16–32 bars of a song from a classic musical. Songs from the show are acceptable, but please, no rock or pop. Be prepared to learn a short dance combination. No appointments are necessary to audition; just arrive to allow time to sign-in and complete paperwork during scheduled audition times. Please bring a current headshot and resume as well as your calendar as a rehearsal schedule will be posted and you will be asked to note any conflicts. For more information and sides in advance, please send an email to gentleman@kentwoodplayers.org.
