TheatreSourceLA was founded in 2017 with a clear intention: to create a space in Los Angeles for bold, actor-driven theatre that takes real creative risks.

What began as a small group of artists building work together has grown into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and an evolving creative hub for new plays, musicals, and collaborative development. At its core, TheatreSourceLA exists to bridge the gap between emerging artists and meaningful opportunity, while giving established creatives a space to experiment beyond the constraints of commercial production.

Our work is rooted in psychologically rich storytelling, strong performances, and a commitment to developing material that feels urgent, intimate, and specific to Los Angeles. We prioritize process as much as product, creating environments where artists can challenge themselves, refine their voice, and engage deeply with the work.

Whether through productions, readings, or workshops, TheatreSourceLA is dedicated to building a community that values craft, risk, and artistic integrity.
